Quercus Assets Selection (London, UK), through its subsidiary Lux Renewable Holdings SA, has supported the construction of a 20 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the town of Celano (in the Abruzzo region, Italy), which was hit by an earthquake in 2009. The PV plant will be producing 28,500 MWh of solar power per annum – enough for on average 10,300 homes. The plant has been granted a subsidised rate as per the second Conto Energia in accordance with the extension granted to support the regions hit by the earthquake.
